An Important Announcement for Our Clients Regarding Coronavirus

The unprecedented spread of the novel Covid-19 “Coronavirus” continues to impact our daily lives, including the way in which we conduct business. Gray, Gray & Gray leadership is closely monitoring the information shared by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and State officials about the virus, and exercising necessary precautions. The health and safety of our employees is our number one priority.

Effective Monday, March 23rd, Gray, Gray & Gray will not be allowing any outside visitors, including clients, to enter our building until further notice. We appreciate your understanding in this matter as we do our part to help stop the spread of the virus.

During the coronavirus outbreak, we are encouraging our employees to work remotely and request that our clients consider sending all necessary tax information through secure electronic means when possible. We also ask that meetings be conducted via phone or video conference. Fortunately, a large portion of our business can be conducted remotely, which will allow us to keep staff members safe while still serving our clients.

Please note that the April 15th filing deadline remains unchanged at this point in time. On March 17th, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin stated that individual taxpayers who owe up to a million dollars in federal taxes can defer paying until July 15, 2020, while corporations can defer up to $10 million. Taxpayers are encouraged to proceed with filing their taxes in accordance with the April 15th deadline. Those who are eligible for the payment deferral will automatically have interest or penalties waived.

Gray, Gray & Gray’s team is currently working diligently on client tax filings, with the vast majority of tax returns being completed electronically. We are proceeding in accordance with the April 15th filing deadline for clients who have submitted the appropriate tax filing information.

Any tax clients who have not yet submitted their tax source information to Gray, Gray & Gray are encouraged to take advantage of our secure electronic processes:

INDIVIDUAL 1040 tax clients: please utilize our electronic tax organizer service app called TaxCaddy and/or your Client Portal to securely upload files to us. For more information regarding TaxCaddy, please refer to the TaxCaddy FAQ available on our website here.

CORPORATE tax clients: please utilize your Client Portal to securely upload files to us.

Tax return delivery is also performed electronically. Our team utilizes SafeSend Returns and/or the Client Portal for secure electronic delivery of tax returns.

Should you have any questions about the TaxCaddy option for submitting your tax source files to us, please contact Anisa Veselaj.

On behalf of the entire team at Gray, Gray & Gray, we extend our wishes for good health and safety.
