Cecere, CPA, a partner with Gray, Gray & Gray, LLP, a certified public accounting firm with offices in Westwood, Framingham and Boston, MA, was a featured presenter at a nationally broadcast webinar conducted by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
The webinar was hosted by the AICPA’s Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center, the country’s leading resource which helps accounting firms . Cecere presented the auditing update portion of the webinar, reviewing all the new applicable auditing standards and discussing how to implement them for the upcoming year.
Gray, Gray & Gray has a specialty practice group that conducts Employee Benefit Plan Audits. Audits are generally required for plans with 100 or more eligible participants . Once a plan, such as a 401(k), 403(b) or other pension and retirement savings plan reaches this limit, it is required to be audited by a qualified independent CPA firm.
Among other webinar presenters was Ian Dingwall, Chief Accountant with the Department of Labor Employee Benefit Plans Security Administration, the government entity that oversees the audits of employee benefit plans.
