Our DEI Mission
Guided by our core values, we empower all team members at Gray, Gray & Gray to achieve their full professional and personal potential by contributing to their development and providing a diverse and inclusive “one firm” environment, welcoming all viewpoints and ideas. We believe collaboration among team members with varied pasts, opinions and perspectives generates more incisive and deeper insights that better serve our employees, clients and community. Our initiatives come together to support The Power of You, putting your voice into action, keeping our culture of helpfulness thriving and strengthening our commitment to working together, ensuring all employees feel welcome and included.
Our mission is further supported through the following efforts:
- Adding more diverse high schools, colleges, and universities to our recruiting efforts for internship & scholarship opportunities
- Connecting with more diverse colleges and universities for partnership efforts, including those with NABA chapters
- Monitoring diversity levels when selecting high schools to include in yearly scholarship program
- Increased focus on hiring out-of-state candidates
- Celebration of DEI-related holidays through remote and in-person firm events & activities, team members spotlights, and distribution of educational resources.
- Announced Juneteenth as an official firm holiday in 2023
- Supporting women and minority-owned businesses for firm initiatives
- Developed G3 Cookbook, featuring team member recipes and celebrating different cultures
- Conduct multiple live and virtual, cross-cultural bias trainings for employees, utilizing certified trainers
- Offering mandatory DE&I trainings annually through our Gray Academy professional education curriculum. Courses are led by the firm’s DE&I consultants
- Utilization of Gray Matters, an organization-wide Microsoft Team, which features channels specific to our DEI and other firm initiatives, providing educational resources and committee updates to team members
- Committee meeting minutes shared firm-wide each month to encourage awareness and team member involvement
- Providing opportunity for team members to add pronouns to email signatures and describing its importance
- Series of team member appreciation gifts, supporting local minority-owned businesses
- Held donation drive for local organization that supports victims and survivors of domestic violence and their children
- Donation to local DEI-related organization in partnership with the Gray, Gray & Gray Charitable Foundation
- Presentation on DEI initiatives and best practices given to local university by Gray, Gray & Gray Leading Partner & Talent Acquisition Specialist
